Besides Werewolf by Night and the characters presented in the show, who else would you be interested in seeing MK system meet up with? Any other MCU characters?

So…. Of course I want him to meet up with Jack Russel. They could be BFF.

Who do I want the MK system to meet up with otherwise?

If we're talking already established MCU characters:

Dare Devil - They have such a complicated relationship. And there's so much room for shenanigans and silly situations. Angsty Catholic Boy meets Angsty Jewish boy is always an A+++ in my book.

Not to mention Highly Observant Steven catching on right away that the blind man has more going on than it seems.

FRANK CASTLE - Oh man. Jon Bernthal and Oscar Isaac on the same screen? I don't think I'd survive. Marc and Frank talking war crimes shop? Family trauma? Vengeance???

Not to mention the whole issue with Khonshu in the comics being jealous of Frank and trying to get Marc to be more like Frank.

Circling around to bigger MCU lines….

See, I want Mk to interact with Spider-Man, but not Tom Holland Spider-Man.

MK and Spider-Man have always had a nice relationship, but it's an older Spider-Man, not a little wide eyed naive kid Spider-Man. He needs to be snappy and witty and on his game Spider-Man. Like almost Andrew Garfield Spider-Man but not quite. He has to fill in the silence from the non-communicative Moon Knight side of things.

DeadPool. Almost. That's a rough one because Moon Knight at full angry vengeance mode plays so well with Deadpool. But that's more comics MK and not quiet MCU MK if that makes sense? (Though Steven might hold up with his snark).

The Hulk has potential. But I also don't see any of them getting along with Bruce well enough.

Bro-Thor might be a wholesome interaction. I could see emotional kind Thor making friends with Steven easily. Not to mention Steven could geek out about mythology to him.

I don't think Ironman would work well. Honestly, Moon Knight and Ironman have never gone well together in my books.

Captain America in THEORY has always been a nice one for quick interactions. (Steven Grant may or maynot be a fictive of Steven Grant Rogers, but that's a differnet story from the comics), but Captain America and Marc have never gotten along at all.

It's hard to imagine Marc (marc in particular) mingling with the other MCU characters because they have all been done as quick witted chatty guys with egos and Marc in MCU is so socially awkward.

Put him and Bucky in a room and you just got two silent broody men standing on opposite sides of the room with Bucky staring intently and Marc not picking up social cues and doing his best to maintain eye contact till one of them breaks. You would need Steven or another outside force to bridge the gap and try to connect, but then you have Marc being overly protective of Steven and fighting his overall impulse to not let anyone know about his mental health issues and forcing front to keep Steven out of it.

But this takes me back around to characters that are already soft, quiet, friendly, and who also suffer from misunderstandings and issues: Jack Russel. The ultimate friend and buddy to MK system. With his sweet smile and desire to please and make people happy. He'd be soft with Steven, chatty for Marc (to cover so Marc doesn't have to talk), and a great Spanish drinking pal with Jake.

And Ted. I think Ted would love Steven.

Elsa Bloodstone? She's already met one man with a dual side and complicated story. She'd take one look at Marc and heavily sigh and accept that she seems to just attract problems.

NOW: Who do I want to see them interact with that are NOT already in the MCU?

Task Master. Hear me out - He's a villain that can make the rounds in ALL MCU shows/movies. He has a photographic memory and can instantly learn and mimic any fighting style. And in the comics, he loathes the day that he learned Moon Knight's style and wishes he could forget it.

The Sentry. If they could introduce the Sentry and get him RIGHT I'd be so happy. He is the direct opposite of Moon Knight on so many levels.

I'm trying not to ramble here because I could go on and on about why I think some characters would and would not team up well with MCU MK....

But let me pose this to you, which was not part of your original question:

WHAT ABOUT LAYLA?

Can you imagine protective Layla with MK meeting up with the MCU cast? I want to see her character evolve and I imagine she's latched onto Steven and taken up Marc's position of "This delightful piece of marshmallow fluff must be protected at all cost".

I think if anyone tried to give them trouble or pointed out the issue of Marc and Steven switching in front of them she'd be in their face so fast.

"What's that? You can't trust him because he's too unpredictable? How about I unpredictable your face?" That girl is a spit fire.

But I think she and Elsa would get along well.

Anyways, I have a wish list but I also have anxieties depending on the writer. Historically Moon Knight has not done well in groups and tends to get labeled "that schitzo lunatic" that just stands in the background a lot. Which would be a shame to do to Oscar Isaac and doubtful that they would be able to do to him. But so many MCU characters have been written With intense egos...

Who do you want to see them interact with? Anyone I forgot? Anyone that you think would actually be able to make friends with them?

apologies if this is invasive: are all of your headmates wolves as well? just wondering because our inner shape tends to change depending on who's fronting, and are curious if any of yours differ from your wolven body

Nah, you're good!

Most of our headmates aren't wolves, actually. The only full-wolf headmate that comes to mind is Alcove, but ze's only fronted once and that was years ago. We have some werewolves, such as Ramses, Owl, a few of the (other) Wills and Halts, Lewin, etc, but most folks aren't themselves wolves or werewolves. The "default", as we call it, Oakley, is actually an anthro cat, and its partner, Twitch, is... not quite human? Kind of like half-cricket, half-elf? He's a partial fictive based on a guy from a book series we haven't read in 6 or so years so the details are fuzzy. The vast majority of our headmates, while they aren't necessarily human, are human-adjacent (eg., Carmen is only vaguely human (although human-appearing) due to magic, and zhe also probably have some latent werewolf stuff considering zhe're Ramses' dad but it's unconfirmed; Snail, our bookkeeper/sentry, is a humanoid snail; Hiro is half bird; Sunny is a dragon shifter, as is zyr son Raydin; etc etc). It's essentially alongside the lines of an extranthaeic system (a system consisting primarily of nonhuman headmates) existing in a human body, but for us, it's a collective made up primarily of non-wolves existing in a wolf body.

Chapter 5 : Cancelled Halloween

The car screeched out of control, on a collision course towards the trees. The creature waited silently atop the tree, waiting for the men to get out. Waiting to hunt. The passenger door cracked open and a man in his early twenties staggered out. He tottered along the narrow highway, feeling the evil presence surrounding the place like the darkness surrounding the evening.

An hour later...

A man lied in a pool of dry leaves, his skin black and blue. He was dead.

"What do you think doc?"

"The claw marks and the bite marks are the same as before. It's the same creature."

"Bear?"

Stephen shook his head. "I don't think so. It's something in between a wolf and a bear."

"You think something escaped from that mountain facility?" Matt asked scratching his head.

No one knew why the facility was set up 'cause from far away it seemed just like an abandoned factory. The so-called research facility was one of the two things that the government approved to set up out of nowhere. The other being the nuclear plant in Darrington. Unlike the nuclear plant that was privately owned by the Rochesters, this was a small government facility surrounded by barbed wires, sentries, and close-circuited television cameras.

"Not impossible but the chances are rare though. It's quite far from there."

Matt nodded.

A flash of light blinded them. It was Deputy Steve.

"There was another man with him when he left the Grill. His cell phone is out of reach and he hasn't reached home." Steve spoke, worried.

Matt nodded.

Menacing silence echoed as they stood there, awfully deep in the woods. The buzz of a phone broke the brooding silence.

he cursed himself when he saw the caller id. He should be at home helping his daughter with her engagement party. But Steve was also here, which meant they hadn't started with it yet. "Yes?" Matt answered Rachael's call.

"Dad there was something near our backyard. It's gone now but it was there." She spoke in between her hysterical sobs. A deafening crash boomed through the speaker and the call was disconnected.

The three men looked at each other as fear crawled over them. Steve and Stephen wished to dart out of the woods at their inhuman speeds but the risk of exposure about their true forms held them back. The instances when quick actions are needed but the need to maintain the human facade was annoyingly frustrating.

"If that animal is anywhere near the town, we need to cancel all of the Halloween parties," Matt spoke in between his breaths.

"Run the perimeter and get everyone back to their houses," Steve ordered as soon as he stepped out of the forest to the dull men that were lazily hovering around the crime scene.

"Call the animal control department; get the cages and tranquilizer darts. We might have a big hunt tonight." Matt added further orders as his heart palpitated. Fear seized him once again as he got inside the car.

"Stephen you need to get back to Tony. You know how he is when it comes to cancelling his parties." Steve tried to persuade the doctor as he opened the driver's door of the cruiser. He glanced back at his friend, who was getting in the passenger seat.

"But Matt might need me, the girls might be hurt." He tried to reason and looked hopefully at Matt, sitting highly tensed. His Y/n might be hurt. She was more important than the partiers.

Matt felt a cold sweat trickle down his burning forehead. He knew that his daughters might be hurt but he couldn't jeopardize the lives he had sworn to protect. There will be a good number of people at the party. The sooner they reach their homes the safer they would be.

"He is right, doc. Go to Anthony first, and then come to my place."

Matt grasped when the sight of his home came into view. A tree lay grounded in the driveway. The pumpkins that had been decorated near the porch were smashed. The candles were blown out and the eerie, fake spider webs that had been spray-painted on the tree trunks and bushes were scrambled. And once he walked out of the vehicle, he noticed the house was awfully dark. The sight looked like a scene from a horror movie set.

The faint scream of his name made his neck snap back.

"Chief Henley." The neighbour spoke out in relief. "Thank god you are here. I heard the girls scream. I came around but the tree snapped and fell in front of me. Then I saw it. I ran -"

"Whom did you see?" Steve frantically inquired.

"I saw it. It had green shiny eyes. A giant chameleon."

"Mrs. Harriet, please get back to your home. And bolt the doors. It's not safe outside." The chief spoke as he hurried towards his house.

The door on the porch had a patchwork of broomsticks. The witches' brooms Y/N had cried out in joy while Rachael was nailing them. The door creaked open into the silent house. Matt turned slightly to catch a glimpse of Steve who had followed him. He nodded at Matt reassuringly. He had done it many times before, putting on the shiny badge and making official noises to justify his visit, but today he felt a trickle of fear.

"Rachael? Y/N?" he called out in a throaty voice.

Steve had walked past him through the living room, holding his flashlight by habit. The crisp white sheets covering everything had made moving around in the room difficult. He stumbled twice before turning the lights on.

"Dad?" Two voices echoed in unison from behind the door, under the stairway.

It slowly screeched ajar for Rachael to peep out. Once she recognised the two familiar figures, she ran towards her father, hugging him tightly. Y/N stood shyly, clinging to the doorframe, sighing out a breath of relief.

Steve noticed Y/N looked unlikely pale, not a tiny bit recovered from the creepy evening events. There were some scratches too and dirt on her white dress. But he wasn't sure whether they were real or part of her Halloween costume.

"Are you alright Y/N?" He asked concerned.

"Yeah, I was lucky enough to escape with some scratches."

"Who attacked you?"

"I don't know exactly. There were two of them. I was standing near the driveway waiting for Rachael to come when something like a hound jumped on me from the back. It was gone in a moment but I could feel something was still there. I ran in and bolted the door. Rachael came down and I was telling her about it when I saw someone run past the kitchen window. We went there and a giant lizard tried to break through the window."

He nodded and was about to walk out to call Stephen when the door busted open. It wasn't who both of the men had expected.

"I'm okay." She mumbled into his chest.

"Rachael?" Jade gasped out of breath.

He sprang lightly towards her and engulfed her in his arms.

"Stay with them. We'll be out all night, trying to catch that thing. Stephen will join you." Matt said before following Steve out of the house.

The name of Stephen caught them off guard. All three of them had a sickening sensation in their abdomen. Through the reason behind it was completely different for each of them.
